Our first Buffalo Trace barrel is here! 

1792 Single Barrel from the Barton Distillery is one of our favorite of the Buffalo Trace brands. We tasted three different barrels and there was an obvious standout. This pick is definitely on the spicy and woody side. Not a sweet tooth here! It's got some beautiful floral notes wrapped up in oak, black licorice, and some deep herbals - fennel? thyme? lots of stuff in that general area.

We asked some of our venerable Beast Masters to name this run of barrels from Buffalo Trace, and one ingenious member came up with 'Beaver Jones'! So here is the first of the Beaver Jones Trilogy - Raiders of the Lost Pickle! 

Coming in around seven years, at a reasonably - if unbeastly - human temperature ABV of 98.6 proof, we feel like this bottle is an absolute no-brainer!
