Yo, our first barrel of 2022 is here and it's Da Bomb!!

This private barrel is delicious, well-aged, smooth as fuck, and the deal of the century. So yeah basically what are you waiting for? You're gonna want to pick up a few of them before they're gone.

Though this is being released under George Dickel's 9-Year label, this barrel was actually distilled on October 27th, 2009. So the juice in the bottle is actually 11 years, 1 month old! Why are they putting 11 year booze on this bottle and charging the 9-year price? We don't know. Is it awesome for you? Yes, yes it is.

Meet our new tater-sticker character, Big Bill! He's packed up his XXXL beak and flown south for the winter, but he's bringing you back a treat. The nose on this barrel starts off with tart cherries. Then it goes into some candy bar stuff. Toffee/Skor Bar notes, sugary cream filling. Then finally some little fruit notes pop in. Apricots maybe? Something a little tart in the stone fruit category.

The palate is medium thick, bringing with it a nice layer of oak and just a tiny hint of spice at the end. More of those candies and fruits notes. The tart stuff is gone now and it's apricots and maybe a hint of coconut. The finish goes tart again with those cherries coming back, more of the creaminess, and it's a nice short balanced finish. It sits super nicely at 103 proof. Just dangerously drinkable. This bottle will definitely pull a disappearing act if left unattended on your bar.

We're super psyched to add Big Bill Dickel to our lineup. It's like a dream everyday drinker, and finding 11 year bourbon for $55 is definitely livin' the dream.
