Our second Elijah Craig barrel has arrived!

Poor Hogfunkel never really had the songwriting chops of Beaver, but what he lacked in lyricism, he made up for in one of the greatest ginger afros of all time. His red locks frizzled wonderfully, bobbing to the beat. Hogfunkel's knee-squeezing tenor lended the signature high harmony to Beaver's folksy range. On classics like "Bridge Over Bearded Beaver" and "59th Street Bridge (Gettin' Beastly)" the vocal interplay between this timeless pair was truly moving.

In the spirit of Hogfunkel's meteoric rise and rall, our second EC barrel is a well-aged beauty, and as always impossible to beat for the price. If the first (Warehouse Y) barrel was super spicy, this one from Warehouse I is super sweet! Right out of the glass you get honey and lemon. Beautiful bright candied citrus and other fresh flavors like sliced Granny Smith apples with the skin on, cantaloupe, maybe some fresh flowers like daffodils. The sweetness cuts right through the palate which is soft, not as oily as the younger barrel but just so mellow and drinkable. The finish is the logical conclusion to the same path, bright apples, honey, lemon, melons. What a lovely counterpoint these two barrels are, a perfect harmony!
