We picked this barrel live at the club back in February. It was a complete blowout! Virtually a unanimous vote. This nine year cask strength MGP rye boasts the 95% rye recipe that makes MGP our favorite rye on the market. And getting our hands on a true cask strength single barrel at nine years old is an incredible treat.

Nose: It’s a great combination of vanilla, root beer, deep oak, leather, cocoa, and some rich spices - roasted chiles, garden herbs, mint, and bbq sauce.

Palate: Punchy and uber-flavorful without being hot or burny, this rye coats the tongue in warm wood, honey, flowers and spices.

Finish: Absolutely DANGEROUS finish for a 120+ proof beast! This one goes down so smooth, if you leave it on the bar it’ll be gone in the blink of an eye. All that good gooey caramel and toasty oak wrap up with the savory bbq spice flavors for an unforgettable finish.
