In the burning heart, just about to burst, we find our champion, Pickly Brinola, retired with nothing left to prove. But then when his best friend is killed in the ring by the visious and unflappable Russian powerhouse Ivan Stacho, Pickly knows that his fate, and perhaps the fate of our entire nation, rests on this one last fight. So he does what any veteran garnish would do. He rents a flat in Siberia, hires an 80's hair band to write some awesome power-ballads, grows a beard, and begins a strict regimen of wagon-lifting, chess, mountain climbing, and anabolic steroids.

Finally we come to a close on the mighty Pickly set. Number four, Barrel #20-0355 is literally the twin sister barrel to PIckly III (#20-0354). They were distilled in the same batch, grew up on the fourth floor of Warehouse A together for about nine years, and we think it's fitting that they find a home in bottles next to each other as well!

We dubbed them "the tobacco sisters" because they simply ooze maduro cigar wrappers. When you find something this good, and have the opportunity to buy two, there's really no debate. This is everything we've ever looked for in a bourbon: deep oak and leather, putting you right in a deep old creaky leather armchair. A massive crystal ashtray to your right holds wonderful cigar, and as the smoky air gently carries the notes of a three-piece jazz band. As it opens up you get all the wonderful vanilla, cherries, bbq spices, hints of smoke. And the finish is so perfect, long and rich with zero burn and just layer after layer of flavor coming through.

The last of the Pickly franchise might be the true champ of the bunch! As Pickly says at the end:
