Happy holidays! We've got one barrel left for this year and it's a treat!

The Pinhook Vertical Series is a rare chance to taste a single stock of barrels as it ages. Starting this year in 2020, Beast Masters Club will select one Pinhook Vertical Barrel every year for the next eight years! This wonderful bourbon is five years old this year, and we have reserved eight barrels that will age until the final twelve year release in 2028. We named this little bad boy "Horsey-Poo" since it's the first year of growing up with this awesome project!

Pinhook absolutely does it right when it comes to these barrels. Uncut and unfiltered, this one comes in at cask strength 113.8 proof. The presentation is always stunning with a beautiful wax top. Despite its name, this is a big whiskey. The nose starts with cream soda. Very sweet and smooth and rich with syrup, vanilla, and nice buttery cream. Then immediately you get some wonderful oak and grass notes, not overly woody, but nice charred wood with richness and sweetness. There are some tropical notes blending in, banana/coconut and just a hint of spice. The finish is long and clean, bringing back the sweetness and creaminess and wrapping everything in a warming round glow.

This is a great whiskey on its own. And you're going to want to get two, so that you can drink one now and save the other for your Beast Masters Pinhook Vertical collection! A great start to a super fun project, and a great end to the year!
