Man that is one swingin' pig!

There are a couple of notes that turn music blue. That flat right under the fifth. The minor seven. Rolling up from a minor to a major third. And this cat, Hog Porktrain, knows how to pluck them all. Man when this pig starts to swing, he can tear through the crowd like slop in a feed bucket!

We actually hadn't heard of Blue Note Bourbon before. But when we tasted it, man oh man, it was a total no-brainer. Finding beautiful cask strength private barrel bourbon like this, over nine years old, non-chill-filtered, so incredibly tasty, and being able to offer it for under $80?? Fuggetaboutit!

The nose is pure vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. Rich and sweet with a wonderful white oak base. Little pops of caramel, mint, black cherries almost like an ice cream sundae with whipped cream and a cherry on top! The palate goes really thick, coating the tongue with more beautiful sweets, rich wood, seriously delicious. There's dangerously little burn for the full 123.6 proof, this stuff goes down like nobody's business. The finish is totally in the pocket - wonderfully long, oaky, with more cocoa, and just a hint of black pepper at the end.
